What does a fractional CTO actually do?
The same job as a full-time CTO, on a part-time basis. We set technical direction, review architecture and code, guide your dev team, sit in on the decisions that matter, and translate the tech for founders, boards, and investors.
How much of your time do we get?
It depends on where you are. Most engagements run on routine meetings with your leadership and dev team, with us on call for the big decisions in between. We set the rhythm together and adjust it as you grow.
Do you replace our dev team?
Usually we work alongside your in-house devs, contractors, or agency and help them to succeed. If you don't have a team yet, or the one you have isn't working out, we can build with you.

Do you work with companies outside Richmond?
Yes. We're based in Richmond, Virginia and work with clients anywhere, remotely.
